John
15:10 – If you keep my commands, you will remain in my love, just as I
have kept my Father’s commands and remain in his love.
John 14:15,21,23,30-31 – “If you love me,
keep my commands…Whoever has my commands and keeps them is the one who loves me. The one who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I too will love them and show
myself to them.”…Jesus replied, “Anyone who
loves me will obey my teaching. My Father will love them, and we will come to them and make our home
with them…I will not say much more to you, for the prince of this world is coming. He has no
hold over me, but he comes so that the world may learn that
I love the Father and do exactly what my Father has commanded me.
1 John 2:5-6 – But if anyone obeys his word, love for God is truly
made complete in them. This is
how we know we are in
him: Whoever claims to live in him must live as Jesus did.
1 John 5:3-4 – In fact, this is love for God: to keep his commands. And his commands are not burdensome, for everyone born of God overcomes the
world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith.
