About Righteousness

John 16:8-11 – When he comes, he will prove the world to be in the wrong about sin and righteousness and judgment: about sin, because people do not believe in me; about righteousness, because I am going to the Father, where you can see me no longer; and about judgment, because the prince of this world now stands condemned.

Romans 3:22-24 – This righteousness is given through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference between Jew and Gentile, for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus.

Application:

• ·         “About righteousness” was the righteousness brought about by Christ’s sacrificial death.
• ·         “The glory of God” is what God intended humans to be.
• ·         Christ’s righteousness will be credited to believers as their own.
