Proverbs 20:23-24 – The Lord detests differing weights, and dishonest scales do not please him. A person’s steps are directed by the Lord. How then can anyone understand their own way?

Jeremiah 10:23 – Lord, I know that people’s lives are not their own; it is not for them to direct their steps.

Proverbs 3:5-6 – Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.

Application:

• ·         Only the Lord can direct people’s steps.
• ·         David challenged Solomon to serve God “with wholehearted devotion”.
• ·         Be ever mindful of God and serve Him with a willing, faithful and obedient heart. He will remove the obstacles from your pathway and bring you to your appointed goal.
