Prevails

Proverbs 19:19-21 – A hot-tempered person must pay the penalty; rescue them, and you will have to do it again. Listen to advice and accept discipline, and at the end you will be counted among the wise. Many are the plans in a person’s heart, but it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails.

Isaiah 8:10 – Devise your strategy, but it will be thwarted; propose your plan, but it will not stand, for God is with us.

Isaiah 40:8 – The grass withers and the flowers fall, but the word of our God endures forever.”

Lamentations 3:37 – Who can speak and have it happen if the Lord has not decreed it?

Proverbs 16:4 – The Lord works out everything to its proper end—even the wicked for a day of disaster.

Application:

• ·         Only God’s plans and purposes will last.
• ·         The plans and purposes of the nations will not prevail.
• ·         No one is equal to God; so no one can override the Lord’s governing authority.
• ·         God is sovereign in every life and in all of history.
