Proverbs 16:13-15 – Kings take pleasure in honest lips;
they value the one who speaks what is right. A king’s wrath is a
messenger of death, but the wise will appease it. When a
king’s face brightens, it means life; his favor is like a rain cloud in
spring.
Esther
7:10 – So they impaled Haman on
the pole he had set up for Mordecai. Then
the king’s fury subsided.
Proverbs 25:2 – It is the glory of God to conceal a matter; to search
out a matter is the glory of kings.
Lamentation 4:20 – The Lord’s anointed, our very life breath, was caught in their traps.
We thought that under his shadow we would live among the nations.
