Do Not Hold Back Wages

Leviticus 19:13-15 – “‘Do not defraud or rob your neighbor. “‘Do not hold back the wages of a hired worker overnight. “‘Do not curse the deaf or put a stumbling block in front of the blind, but fear your God. I am the Lord. “‘Do not pervert justice; do not show partiality to the poor or favoritism to the great, but judge your neighbor fairly.

1 Timothy 5:18 – For Scripture says, “Do not muzzle an ox while it is treading out the grain,” and “The worker deserves his wages.”

Exodus 23:8 – “Do not accept a bribe, for a bribe blinds those who see and twists the words of the innocent.

James 2:1 – My brothers and sisters, believers in our glorious Lord Jesus Christ must not show favoritism.

Application:

  • ·         Do not hold back the wages of a hired man.
  • ·         Accepting brides blinds those who see and twists the words of the righteous.
  • ·         God does not show favoritism—nor should believers.
