Deuteronomy 10:12-14 –
And now, Israel, what does the Lord your God ask of you but to fear the Lord your God, to walk in obedience to him, to love him, to serve the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul, and to observe the Lord’s commands and decrees that I am giving you today for
your own good? To the Lord your God belong the heavens, even the highest heavens, the earth and everything in it.
Deuteronomy
4:2 – Do not add to
what I command you and do not subtract from it, but keep the
commands of the Lord your
God that I give you.
Nehemiah
9:6 – You alone are the Lord. You made the heavens, even
the highest heavens, and all their starry host, the
earth and all that is on it, the seas and
all that is in them. You give life to everything, and the
multitudes of heaven worship you.

Kings 8:27 – “But will God really
dwell on earth? The heavens, even the highest heaven, cannot contain you.
How much less this temple I have built!
Psalm
115:16 – The
highest heavens belong to the Lord, but the earth he
has given to mankind.
Exodus

obey me fully and keep my covenant, then out of all nations
you will be my treasured possession. Although the whole earth is mine, you will be for me a kingdom

Application:
- · The revelation the Lord gives is sufficient. All of it must be obeyed, and anything that adulterates or contradicts it cannot be tolerated.
- · You alone are the Lord.
- · Solomon confessed that even though God had chosen to dwell among His people in a special and localized way, He far transcended being limited by anything in all creation.
- · The heavens are the exclusive realm of the exalted, all-sovereign God; the earth is the divinely appointed place for beings, where they live under God’s rule and care, enjoys His abundant blessings and celebrate His praise.
- · God is the Creator and Possessor of the earth and everything in it.
