Job
13:16-18 – Indeed,
this will turn out for my deliverance, for no godless person would dare come
before him! Listen carefully to what I say; let my words
ring in your ears. Now that I have prepared my case, I
know I will be vindicated.
Philippians 1:18-19 – But what does it matter? The important
thing is that in every way, whether from false motives or true, Christ is
preached. And because of this I rejoice.
Yes, and I will continue to rejoice, for I know
that through your prayers and God’s provision of the Spirit of Jesus Christ what has happened to me will turn
out for my deliverance.
Job
2:3 – Then the Lord said to Satan, “Have you considered my servant
Job? There is no one on earth like him; he is blameless and upright, a man who
fears God and shuns evil. And he still maintains his integrity, though you incited me against him to ruin him without any
reason.”
Application:
- · “Turn out for my deliverance” was either Paul’s release from prison or the deliverance brought to the believer by death.
- · God cannot be stirred up to do things against His will.
- · Though it is not always clear how, everything that happens is part of His divine purpose.
