like the Lord our God, the One who sits enthroned on high, who
stoops down to look on the heavens and the earth?
Isaiah
58:4 – Your fasting
ends in quarreling and strife, and in striking each other with wicked

Application:
- · Job finally sees that God and His purposes are supreme.
- · What grace, that He has covenanted to be “our” God.
- · Hypocritical religious activity is actually a hindrance to prayer.
- · Solomon realized that God could not be localized in a temple built by humans, magnificent though it may be.
- · “The coming kingdom of our father David” was the Messianic kingdom promised to David’s son.
