Hosea 6:6 – For I desire mercy, not sacrifice, and acknowledgment of God rather than burnt offerings

Application:

  • ·         Like David, Hezekiah was truly faithful.
  • ·         Be ever mindful of God and serve Him with a willing, faithful and obedient heart.
  • ·         The psalmist prays that God will so direct him that his enemies will have no grounds for their malicious accusations.
  • ·         John declares that repentance is necessary to prepare the way for Christ.
  • ·         “Faithfulness” is loyalty to the covenant Lord and right dealing with others
  • ·         Sacrifice apart from faithfulness to the Lord’s will is wholly unacceptable to Him.
