Proverbs
2:1-5 – My son, if you accept my words
and store up my commands within you, turning your ear to wisdom
and applying your heart to understanding—indeed, if you call out
for insight and cry aloud for understanding, and if you
look for it as for silver and search for it as for hidden treasure,
then you will understand the fear of the Lord and find the knowledge of God.
James 1:5 – If any of you lacks wisdom,
you should ask God, who gives generously to all without
finding fault, and it will be given to you.
Proverbs 1:7 – The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and instruction.
Philippians 3:10-11 – I want to know Christ—yes, to know the power of his resurrection and
participation in his sufferings, becoming like him in his death, and so, somehow, attaining to the resurrection from the dead.
