Job
3:4-5 – That
day—may it turn to darkness; may God above not care about it;
may no light shine on it. May gloom and utter darkness claim it once more;
may a cloud settle over it; may blackness overwhelm it.
Genesis
1:3 – And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was
light.
Jeremiah
2:6 – They did not
ask, ‘Where is the Lord, who brought us
up out of Egypt and led us through the barren wilderness, through
a land of deserts and ravines, a land of
drought and utter darkness, a land where no one travels and no one lives?’
Jeremiah
13:16 – Give glory to the Lord your God before he brings the
darkness, before your feet stumble on the darkening hills.
You hope for light, but he will turn it to utter darkness and
change it to deep gloom.
