Job 3:6-15 – That night—may thick darkness seize it; may it not be included
among the days of the year nor be entered in any of the months.
May that night be barren; may no shout of joy be heard in it. May those
who curse days curse that day, those who are ready to rouse
Leviathan. May its morning stars become dark; may it wait
for daylight in vain and not see the first rays of dawn,
for it did not shut the doors of the womb on me to hide trouble from my
eyes. “Why did I not perish at birth, and die as I came
from the womb? Why were there knees to receive me and
breasts that I might be nursed? For now I would be lying down in peace; I would be asleep and at
rest with kings and rulers of the earth, who built for
themselves places now lying in ruins, with princes who had gold, who filled their
houses with silver.
Isaiah
26:19 – But your
dead will live, Lord; their bodies
will rise—let those who dwell in the dust wake up and
shout for joy—your dew is like the dew of the
morning; the earth will give birth to her dead.
Isaiah
45:1-2 – “This is
what the Lord says to his anointed, to
Cyrus, whose right hand I take hold of to
subdue nations before him and to strip kings of
their armor, to open doors before him so that gates will
not be shut: I will go before you and will level the mountains;
I will break down gates of bronze and cut through bars of
iron.
Isaiah
2:7 – Their land is
full of silver and gold; there is no end to their treasures.
Their land is full of horses; there is no end to their chariots.
