Proverbs 11:19-23 – Truly the righteous attain life, but
whoever pursues evil finds death. The Lord detests those whose hearts are perverse,
but he delights in those whose ways are blameless. Be sure of
this: The wicked will not go unpunished, but those who are righteous
will go free. Like a gold ring in a pig’s snout is a
beautiful woman who shows no discretion. The desire of the
righteous ends only in good, but the hope of the wicked only in wrath.
James
1:15 – Then, after desire has
conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, gives
birth to death.
Psalm 119:1 – Blessed
are those whose ways are blameless, who walk according to the law of the Lord.
Zephaniah
1:18 – Neither their silver nor their gold will be able to save
them on the day of the Lord’s wrath.”
In the fire of his jealousy the whole earth will be consumed,
for he will make a sudden end of all who live on the earth.
Romans 2:9 – There
will be trouble and distress for every human being who does evil: first for the
Jew, then for the Gentile; but glory, honor and peace for everyone who
does good: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile.
