Proverbs 11:17-18 – Those who are kind benefit themselves,
but the cruel bring ruin on themselves. A wicked person earns
deceptive wages, but the one who sows righteousness reaps a sure reward.
Hosea
10:12-14 – Sow righteousness for yourselves, reap
the fruit of unfailing love, and break up your unplowed ground;
for it is time to seek the Lord, until he comes and showers his
righteousness on you. But you have planted
wickedness, you have reaped evil, you have eaten the fruit
of deception. Because you have depended on your own strength
and on your many warriors, the roar of battle will rise against
your people, so that all your fortresses will be devastated—as
Shalman devastated Beth Arbel on the day of battle, when
mothers were dashed to the ground with their children.
Haggai 1:6 – You have planted much, but
harvested little. You eat, but never have enough. You
drink, but never have your fill. You put on clothes, but are not warm.
You earn wages, only to put them in a purse with holes in it.”
James 3:18 – Peacemakers who
sow in peace reap a harvest of righteousness.
