Like The Light Of Morning

2 Samuel 23:3-4 – The God of Israel spoke, the Rock of Israel said to me: ‘When one rules over people in righteousness, when he rules in the fear of God, he is like the light of morning at sunrise on a cloudless morning, like the brightness after rain that brings grass from the earth.’

Proverbs 4:18 – The path of the righteous is like the morning sun, shining ever brighter till the full light of day.

Judges 5:31 – “So may all your enemies perish, Lord! But may all who love you be like the sun when it rises in its strength.” Then the land had peace forty years.

Psalm 27:1 – The Lord is my light and my salvation—whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life—of whom shall I be afraid?

Psalm 36:9 – For with you is the fountain of life; in your light we see light.

Application:

• ·         The godly have all the guidance and protection they need and are able to lead others to righteousness.
• ·         “Your enemies…all who love you” are the two basic attitudes of people toward the Lord.
• ·         To say “The Lord is my light” is to confess confidence in Him as the source of life and salvation.
• ·         Light means life in its fullness as it was created to be.
