Deuteronomy
1:29 – Then I said to you, “Do not
be terrified; do not be afraid of them.
Deuteronomy 3:22 – Do not be afraid of
them; the Lord your
God himself will fight for you.”
Nehemiah 4:14 – After I looked
things over, I stood up and said to the nobles, the officials and the rest of
the people, “Don’t be afraid of them. Remember the
Lord, who is great and awesome, and fight for
your families, your sons and your daughters, your wives and your homes.”
Deuteronomy 31:6 – Be strong and
courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because
of them, for the Lord your
God goes with you; he will never leave you nor
forsake you.”
Application:
- · The Lord’s power, not Israel’s unaided strength, achieved victory.
- · The best way to dispel fear is to remember the Lord, who alone is to be feared.
- · By trusting in the Lord and obeying Him, His followers would be victorious in spite of great obstacles.
