Life

John 11:25-26 – Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in me will never die. Do you believe this?”

John 6:35 – Then Jesus declared, “I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never go hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty.

John 1:4,7 – In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind…He came as a witness to testify concerning that light, so that through him all might believe.

John 14:6 – Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

1 Corinthians 15:57 – But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Application:

• ·         Jesus not only is life, but He also conveys life to believers so that death will never triumph over them.
• ·         Life is Christ’s gift, and He, in fact, is “the life”.
• ·         Jesus is the way to God.
• ·         Jesus is not one way among many but the only way.
• ·         People were not to believe “in” John the Baptist but “through” him.
• ·         “Victory through our Lord Jesus Christ” is victory over the condemnation for sin that the law brought and over death and the grave, through the death and resurrection of Christ.
