Proverbs
26:25-27 – Though
their speech is charming, do not believe them, for seven
abominations fill their hearts. Their malice may be concealed by
deception, but their wickedness will be exposed in the assembly.
Whoever digs a pit will fall into it; if someone rolls
a stone, it will roll back on them.
Jeremiah 9:6 – You live in
the midst of deception; in their deceit they refuse to acknowledge me,”
declares the Lord.
Esther 7:10 – So they impaled Haman on
the pole he had set up for Mordecai. Then
the king’s fury subsided.
Obadiah 15 – “The day
of the Lord is near for all nations. As you have
done, it will be done to you; your deeds will return upon your own head.
Application:

- · John Calvin said, “Man falls as God’s providence ordains, but he falls by his own fault”.
- · The day of the Lord brings judgment for the nations and salvation for the house of Jacob.
