Corrupt Talk

Proverbs 4:24-25 – Keep your mouth free of perversity; keep corrupt talk far from your lips. Let your eyes look straight ahead; fix your gaze directly before you.

Ephesians 4:29 – Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen.

Job 31:1 – “I made a covenant with my eyes not to look lustfully at a young woman.

Application:

• ·         Christians not only stop saying unwholesome things; they also begin to say things that will help build others up.
• ·         “Look straight ahead”, not at “worthless things”.
• ·         To “look lustfully at a young woman” is to sin.
