John
3:12-13 – I have
spoken to you of earthly things and you do not believe; how then will you
believe if I speak of heavenly things? No one has
ever gone into heaven except the one who came from heaven—the
Son of Man.
Acts
2:34-35 – For David did not ascend to heaven, and yet
he said, “‘The Lord said to my Lord: “Sit at my right hand
until I make your enemies a footstool for your feet.”’
Mark 8:31 – He then began to teach them
that the Son of Man must suffer many things and
be rejected by the elders, the chief priests and the teachers of the law, and
that he must be killed and after three days rise
again.
Luke 19:10 – For the Son of Man came to
seek and to save the lost.”
Application:
- · Not only was David’s descendant to be resurrected but He was also to be exalted to God’s right hand.
- · “Son of Man” was Jesus’ most common title for Himself, used 81 times in the Gospels and never used by anyone but Jesus there. - · “Son of Man” was a Messianic title.
