have you not built me a house of cedar?”’

Application:
- · “Name” signifies God’s revealed character or self-revelation as a person.
- · The Israelites marched through the desert, and now through history, with the Lord tenting among them and leading them to the land of fulfilled promises.
- · Solomon confessed that even though God had chosen to dwell among His people in a special and localized way, he far transcended containment by anything in all creation.
- · Solomon realized that God could not be localized in a man-made temple, magnificent though it may be.
