I Will Send You Rain

Leviticus 26:4-6 – I will send you rain in its season, and the ground will yield its crops and the trees their fruit. Your threshing will continue until grape harvest and the grape harvest will continue until planting, and you will eat all the food you want and live in safety in your land. “‘I will grant peace in the land, and you will lie down and no one will make you afraid. I will remove wild beasts from the land, and the sword will not pass through your country.

Zechariah 10:1 – Ask the Lord for rain in the springtime; it is the Lord who sends the thunderstorms. He gives showers of rain to all people, and plants of the field to everyone.

Psalm 37:11 – But the meek will inherit the land and enjoy peace and prosperity.

Psalm 3:5 – I lie down and sleep; I wake again, because the Lord sustains me.

Application:

  • ·         The Lord is the one who controls the weather and the rain, giving life and fertility to the land.
  • ·         The meek are those who humbly acknowledge their dependence on the goodness and grace of God and betray no arrogance toward their fellowman.
  • ·         Even while my watchfulness is surrendered to sleep, the watchful Lord preserves me.
