Leviticus 16:25-30 – He shall also burn the fat of the sin
offering on the altar. “The man who releases the goat as a scapegoat must wash his clothes and bathe himself with water; afterward he may come into the camp. The bull and the goat
for the sin offerings, whose blood was brought into the Most Holy Place to make
atonement, must be taken outside the camp; their hides, flesh and intestines are to
be burned up. The man who burns them must wash his
clothes and bathe himself with water; afterward he may come into the camp.
“This is to be a lasting ordinance for you: On the tenth day of the seventh
month you must deny yourselves and not do any work—whether native-born or a foreigner residing among you—because
on this day atonement will be made for you, to cleanse you. Then, before the Lord, you will be clean from all your sins.
Leviticus
4:12 – But the hide
of the bull and all its flesh, as well as the head and legs, the internal
organs and the intestines—that
is, all the rest of the bull—he must take outside the camp to a place ceremonially
clean, where the ashes are thrown, and burn it there in a wood fire on
the ash heap.
Jeremiah 33:8 – I will cleanse them
from all the sin they have committed against me and will forgive all
their sins of rebellion against me.

fountain will be opened to the house of David and the
inhabitants of Jerusalem, to cleanse them from sin and impurity.
