Is Nearly Over; The Day Is Almost Here

Romans 13:12 - The night is far gone; the day is at hand. So then let us cast off the works of darkness and put on the armor of light.

Philippians 4:5-6 - Let your reasonableness be known to everyone. The Lord is at hand; do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.

James 5:9 - Do not grumble against one another, brothers, so that you may not be judged; behold, the Judge is standing at the door.

1 Peter 4:7 - The end of all things is at hand; therefore be self-controlled and sober-minded for the sake of your prayers.

1 John 2:18 - Children, it is the last hour, and as you have heard that antichrist is coming, so now many antichrists have come. Therefore we know that it is the last hour.

Application:

·         Is nearly over; the day is almost here is a clear example of the New Testament teaching of the nearness of the end times.

·         The next great event in God’s prophetic schedule is Christ’s return.

·         We have been living in the last days ever since the incarnation of Jesus.

·         Anticipating the end times, particularly Christ’s return, should influence my attitudes, actions and relationships.

·         I am to be alert, waiting for the return of Christ.
