How Beautiful Are The Feet Of Those Who Bring Good News!

Romans 10:14-15 - How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching? And how are they to preach unless they are sent? As it is written, “How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the good news!”

Isaiah 52:7 - How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him who brings good news, who publishes peace, who brings good news of happiness, who publishes salvation, who says to Zion, “Your God reigns.”

Nahum 1:15 - Behold, upon the mountains, the feet of him who brings good news, who publishes peace! Keep your feasts, O Judah; fulfill your vows, for never again shall the worthless pass through you; he is utterly cut off.

Application:

·         The quotation, which refers to those who bring the exiles the good news of their imminent release from captivity in Babylon, is applied to gospel preachers, who bring the good news of release from captivity of sin.
·         Feet of those who bring good news is a reference to messengers who ran from the scene of a battle to bring news of the outcome to a waiting king and people.
·         The conditions necessary to call on Christ and be saved: (1) a preacher sent from God, (2) proclamation of the message, (3) hearing the message, (4) believing the message.
