Because I Live, You Also Will Live

John 14:18-19 – I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you. Before long, the world will not see me anymore, but you will see me. Because I live, you also will live.

John 1:4 – In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind.

John 10:10 – The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.

Philippians 1:21 – For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain.

Application:

• ·         The life of the Christian always depends on the life of Christ.
• ·         Life is Christ’s gift, and He, in fact, is “the life”.
• ·         Christ’s interest is in His sheep, whom He enables to have life to the full.
• ·         The gain brought by death is being “with Christ”, so that Paul is saying that his ultimate concern and most precious possession, both now and forever, is Christ and his relationship to Him.
