John 6:41-44 – At this the Jews there began to grumble
about him because he said, “I am the bread that came down from heaven.” They said, “Is this not
Jesus, the son of Joseph, whose father and mother we know? How can he now say, ‘I came down from heaven’?” “Stop grumbling among yourselves,” Jesus answered. “No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws them, and I will raise them up at the last day.
Jeremiah 31:3 – The Lord appeared to us in the past, saying: “I have loved you with an everlasting love; I
have drawn you with unfailing kindness.
John 12:32 – And I, when I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all people to myself.”
Application:
- · People do not come to Christ strictly on their own initiative; the Father draws them.
- · The Lord has drawn us with unfailing kindness.
- · Christ will draw people to Himself, without regard for nationality, ethnic affiliation or status.
