be eaten on the next day.
Genesis 30:2 – Jacob became
angry with her and said, “Am I in the place of God, who
has kept you from having children?”
Application:
- · “Sacrifice” here refers to a fellowship offering, a sacrifice that was combined with a festive meal signifying fellowship and communion with the Lord and grateful acknowledgment of His mercies.
- · A vow was a solemn promise to offer a gift to God in response to a divine deliverance or blessing. Such vows often accompanied prayers for deliverance or blessing.
- · Jacob was forever trying to secure the blessing by his own efforts. Jacob has to acknowledge that the blessing of offspring could come only from God.
