1 Chronicles
15:28-16:1 – So all Israel brought up the ark of the
covenant of the Lord with
shouting, to the sound of the horn, trumpets, and cymbals, and made loud
music on harps and lyres. And as the ark of the covenant of the Lord came to the city of David,
Michal the daughter of Saul looked out of the window and saw King David dancing
and celebrating, and she despised him in her heart. And they brought in the ark
of God and set it inside the tent that David had pitched for it, and they
offered burnt offerings and peace offerings before God.

Application:
- · Faith in the power of God’s Spirit can overcome mountainous obstacles.
- · David is further associated with the priests in his supervision of the sacrifices and his exercising the priestly prerogative of blessing the people.
- · The baked goods provided by David were for the sacrificial meal following the fellowship offerings.
- · The fellowship perhaps symbolized peace between God and man as well as the inward peace that resulted.
