Hebrews 4:13-14 – And no creature is hidden from his sight, but all are naked and exposed to the eyes of him to whom we must give account. Since then we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus, the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession.
Psalm 110:4 - The Lord has sworn and will not change his mind, “You are a priest forever after the order of Melchizedek.”
Hebrews 3:5-6,14 - Now Moses was faithful in all God's house as a servant, to testify to the things that were to be spoken later, but Christ is faithful over God's house as a son. And we are his house if indeed we hold fast our confidence and our boasting in our hope…For we have come to share in Christ, if indeed we hold our original confidence firm to the end.
Application:
· Jesus, the now-reigning heir of David, is also the ultimate priest
· Given this hope in Jesus Christ, I need to endure
· I need to examine myself carefully. If there is no evidence of perseverance in faith and obedience, then my salvation is in doubt.
