Revelation 2:7,10-11 - He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To the one who conquers I will grant to eat of the tree of life, which is in the paradise of God.’…Do not fear what you are about to suffer. Behold, the devil is about to throw some of you into prison, that you may be tested, and for ten days you will have tribulation. Be faithful unto death, and I will give you the crown of life. He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. The one who conquers will not be hurt by the second death.’
Daniel 1:12 - “Test your servants for ten days; let us be given vegetables to eat and water to drink.
Revelation 4:9-11 - And whenever the living creatures give glory and honor and thanks to him who is seated on the throne, who lives forever and ever, the twenty-four elders fall down before him who is seated on the throne and worship him who lives forever and ever. They cast their crowns before the throne, saying, “Worthy are you, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things, and by your will they existed and were created.”
Application:
· Ten often had the symbolic significance of completeness.
· God alone is worthy of ultimate praise and worship.
· The challenge to overcome occurs in each letter to each church in Revelation.
