1 Corinthians 7:20-22 - Each one should remain in the condition in which he was called. Were you a bondservant when called? Do not be concerned about it. (But if you can gain your freedom, avail yourself of the opportunity.) For he who was called in the Lord as a bondservant is a freedman of the Lord. Likewise he who was free when called is a bondservant of Christ.
John 8:31-32 - So Jesus said to the Jews who had believed him, “If you abide in my word, you are truly my disciples, and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”
Application:
· Do I live contentedly in my social and economic situation? As I try to improve my condition, am I content at every stage?
· Do I realize, that in a spiritual sense, I belong to Christ? Have I pledged my allegiance to Him?
· The truth sets me free from sin.
