I Will Punish The Leaders

Zechariah 10:3-4 - “My anger burns against the shepherds, and I will punish the leaders; for the LORD Almighty will care for his flock, the people of Judah, and make them like a proud horse in battle. From Judah will come the cornerstone, from him the tent peg, from him the battle bow, from him every ruler.


Ezekiel 34:2-3 - “Son of man, prophesy against the shepherds of Israel; prophesy and say to them: ‘This is what the Sovereign LORD says: Woe to you shepherds of Israel who only take care of yourselves! Should not shepherds take care of the flock? You eat the curds, clothe yourselves with the wool and slaughter the choice animals, but you do not take care of the flock.

Psalm 118:22-23 - The stone the builders rejected has become the cornerstone; the LORD has done this, and it is marvelous in our eyes.

Acts 4:11 - Jesus is “‘the stone you builders rejected, which has become the cornerstone.’

Zechariah 9:10 - I will take away the chariots from Ephraim and the warhorses from Jerusalem, and the battle bow will be broken. He will proclaim peace to the nations. His rule will extend from sea to sea and from the River to the ends of the earth.

Genesis 49:10 - The scepter will not depart from Judah, nor the ruler’s staff from between his feet, until he to whom it belongs shall come and the obedience of the nations shall be his.

Jeremiah 30:21 - Their leader will be one of their own; their ruler will arise from among them. I will bring him near and he will come close to me—for who is he who will devote himself to be close to me?’ declares the LORD.

Micah 5:2 - “But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, though you are small among the clans of Judah, out of you will come for me one who will be ruler over Israel, whose origins are from of old, from ancient times.”

Application:

· Do I neglect my sheep? Do I benefit at the cost of my sheep?
· Do I care for my flock?
· Jesus is my capstone!!!
· Do I reject Jesus?
· The Lord’s rule will be universal!!!
· Am I obedient?
· Do I draw near to God?
· Christ reigns!!!
