Jealous

Zechariah 1:14-15 - Then the angel who was speaking to me said, “Proclaim this word: This is what the LORD Almighty says: ‘I am very jealous for Jerusalem and Zion, and I am very angry with the nations that feel secure. I was only a little angry, but they went too far with the punishment.’

Joel 2:18 - Then the LORD was jealous for his land and took pity on his people.

Exodus 20:5-6 - You shall not bow down to them or worship them; for I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God, punishing the children for the sin of the parents to the third and fourth generation of those who hate me, but showing love to a thousand generations of those who love me and keep my commandments.

James 4:4 - You adulterous people, don’t you know that friendship with the world means enmity against God? Therefore, anyone who chooses to be a friend of the world becomes an enemy of God.

Application:
· Is the Lord jealous for me? Is He showing His love for me?
· Has the Lord intervened in my life? Has He saved me for the sake of His own glory?
· Am I devoted exclusively to God? Have I rrejected Him, or am I loyal to Him?
· Am I unfaithful to God? Do I try to satisfy the expectations of unbelievers and at the same time please God?
