Nehemiah 1:8-9 - “Remember the instruction you gave your servant Moses, saying, ‘If you are unfaithful, I will scatter you among the nations, but if you return to me and obey my commands, then even if your exiled people are at the farthest horizon, I will gather them from there and bring them to the place I have chosen as a dwelling for my Name.’
Ezekiel 36:24,26-28,31 - “‘For I will take you out of the nations; I will gather you from all the countries and bring you back into your own land…I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh. And I will put my Spirit in you and move you to follow my decrees and be careful to keep my laws. Then you will live in the land I gave your ancestors; you will be my people, and I will be your God…Then you will remember your evil ways and wicked deeds, and you will loathe yourselves for your sins and detestable practices.
Jeremiah 23:3 - “I myself will gather the remnant of my flock out of all the countries where I have driven them and will bring them back to their pasture, where they will be fruitful and increase in number.
Application:
· Is my mind and heart being transformed?
· What God requires of His people He always provides.
· God bestows His Spirit to enable the human spirit to do His will.
· Do I have a pliable, teachable heart?
· God's undeserved grace leads to recollection and repentance
· God brings about the change but calls on me to effect it.
